ST JOHN'S, Antigua: On Tuesday, a joint operation between the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force, the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy and Customs Department resulted in the seizure of 16 lbs of marijuana with an estimated street value of $24,000.

The agencies involved received information that a vessel arriving with produce from Dominica was carrying illegal drugs. A search was conducted and the illegal drugs were discovered hidden amongst the produce.

The cargo vessel in question has been seized and three persons are currently assisting law enforcement officers with their investigations. Another person is being sought to assist in the investigation.
